Try it for a Tenner
We understand that budgets are tight, so we've made it easier for students and Young Scots to discover a huge world of entertainment without a huge cost. At all three Capital Theatres venues, you can buy £10 standby tickets for most of our shows on the day of the performance. Just turn up at the box office in person on the day from 12pm with valid ID. For further details on availability of £10 standby tickets, check the discounts section on each individual show page.
Please note: £10 standby tickets are not available for all shows and are subject to availability. Valid Student or Young Scot ID required. Ask at Box Office for details or call 0131 529 6000.
We’re always keen to strengthen links with Edinburgh’s massive student community and are currently looking for students who’d like to join our pool of Student Ambassadors. If you’d be interested in representing your university, promoting the work of Capital Theatres, bagging some free tickets and taking a look behind the scenes, please get in touch with Cat Sheridan, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Edinburgh College of Art
We kick off a new partnership with Edinburgh College of Art in autumn 2018. Working with students on the interior design programme, we’re exploring the foyers and bars, considering everything from where to store the drinks to how to enhance the look and feel of these spaces. Keep an eye on our Stories section for more info.
Festival Theatre Cafe
At the Festival Theatre Café, we offer free WiFi for all, plus a 20% discount for students during the day (up to 5pm). Whether you are looking for a healthy lunch or a guilty pleasure; a quick fizzy drink or a long relaxing cuppa; a place to enjoy the sunshine or watch the rain fall, the Festival Theatre Café is the place to be.
