The PwC Pantomime aims to bring joy to children and spark in them a life-long love of the performing arts by giving them the chance to see a theatrical production at a professional theatre.
Oh yes it is!
Snow White is our courageous heroine loved by everyone in the kingdom, which is exactly why her vain and jealous stepmother, Queen Narcissa, wants her gone. With Snow’s loyal best friend Muddles, the outrageous Dame Dolly Dumpling, three useless princes, a sarcastic Magic Mirror, and seven banished fairytale favourites all caught up in the chaos, the Queen’s wicked plans quickly spiral out of control. But when Snow is forced into the forest and danger strikes, will friendship and courage be enough to bring her home and take back the kingdom?!
The PwC Pantomime is put together by over 250 PwC staff and alumni who work on all aspects of the production, mostly in their spare time, covering everything from acting, singing, dancing and directing to script and lyric writing, costume design, make-up, lighting, sound, backstage crew, music arrangement and playing in the band. The PwC Pantomime is an important part of PwC’s community programme in the UK and is supported financially by the PwC UK Executive Committee.
Snow White will be the 40th PwC Pantomime and each year the Pantomime supports a charity. This year PwC are proud to be continuing our support for Mental Health UK who challenge the causes of poor mental health and give people the tools they need to live their best possible life at home, school, and work. Working UK-wide, they deliver both national and local services that enable and empower people to understand and manage their mental health in a person-centred and empathetic way.
