Thanks for being a Friend of Capital Theatres!

To help you make the most of your membership, this page lists all the show and restaurant discounts that are currently available to our Friends.

Friends have access to our priority booking line on 0131 529 6002 (please check our FAQ page for up-to-date box office opening times) and you can email any questions outside of these hours to friends@capitaltheatres.com.

Friends Show Discounts

Friends benefit from discounts on a wide variety of shows at Capital Theatres. You can easily see whether a show has a Friends discount on each show page, both on the main page and the discounts tab. If a Friends discount is available for your selected performance it will also automatically apply to your basket on checkout, so you never miss out on your savings!

What's On

Friends Priority Booking

Friends also benefit from Priority Booking on select shows!
Each month you'll receive our Friends E-newsletter outlining all upcoming discounts and any new Priority Booking periods available for you. If a show isn't announced in time for a monthly newsletter you'll receive a bespoke email so you don't miss out. We've got you covered.

If a show has priority booking available to Friends all you need to do is Log in to your account, navigate to the show page within the Friends Priority Booking period, and start booking your tickets, simple as that. Our Box Office system will know you're a Friend as soon as you've logged in!

Restaurant Discounts & Offers

We regularly partner up with local restaurants and eateries in the city to get great discounts for our Friends. Keep your eyes peeled to this page and your Friends e-newsletters for new discounts when they're announced.

Restaurant Partners

Ten Hill Place Hotel Restaurant:

· Pre-theatre dining experience at Ten Hill Place Hotel Restaurant.

· Complimentary glass of prosecco per person when presenting your Friends membership card.

Southpour:

Located in a perfect spot on a cosy corner of Newington, you’ll find Southpour serving a selection of our favourite things, from craft beers and boutique spirits to seasonal dishes and weekly specials.

Friends of Capital Theatres will receive 20% off their food bill, when presenting their Friends membership card.

The Granary:

Sitting on the front of Leith Shore, The Granary are proud to serve a variety of produce to suit everyone from their Granary Burger to their famous Fish & Chips. The bar also boasts a wide range of local draught beers, cocktails and wines.

Friends of Capital Theatres will receive 20% off their food bill, when presenting their Friends membership card.

Capital Theatres Bars and Festival Theatre Café:

Friends are also entitled to a 20% discount on drinks at all our theatre bars*. Please show your Friends card at the time of purchase.

Terms & Conditions

Friends discounts are only available on specified shows with a maximum of 2 discounted tickets per show per membership.
Discounts and offers apply to full-price tickets only with only one discount per ticket.
Discounts may vary from show to show and may be capped or time limited. Details are provided on show pages of our brochures, on show pages of the website and at capitaltheatres.com/friends.
Any Friend making a group booking will be entitled to use their Friends discount as part of a group of 8+ people (11+ for Pantomime).
Friends must reserve, book and pay for bookings under their own membership account.
Each Friends card entitles the bearer to a 20% discount in our venue bars. Please show your Friends card at the time of purchase.

Friends Membership does not confer discounts on merchandise, programmes, ice creams or sweets.
As with all our tickets, no refunds will be given to Friends except in the event of cancellation of a performance with prior notice. Tickets, handling charges and booking fees are non-refundable. Tickets may be exchanged up to 48 hours before a performance to another performance of the same show, subject to a £1 fee per ticket. If exchanging tickets for a performance with a different Friends discount, Friends will be required to pay the difference.
It is your responsibility to check upon receipt of your tickets, that you have tickets for the correct production, date and time with the correct discounts.
The King’s Theatre is closed for a major redevelopment and when it re-opens your Friends benefits will apply. You can follow the progress here.
