Students, welcome to Edinburgh! Here are five ways you can make the most of our theatres as a student:
Live theatre at the cheapest price
How does a night at the theatre for just £10 sound? We promise it’s not too good to be true. For only the cost of a couple of pints you could be seeing some of the finest drama, musicals, dance and comedy at the Festival Theatre and Studio Theatre year-round thanks to our 25 and under tickets. Curtain’s up, so what are you waiting for? Create an account with us today and start experiencing extraordinary live theatre, right in the heart of Edinburgh.
No faff, online booking
Book online, on the day, for the best of Edinburgh’s theatre offerings. Once your account has been verified, simply book your £10 ticket online, by phone, or in person on the day of the performance. Tickets are available until 30 minutes before the show starts, so plenty of time to pop along after a long day of lectures. Log in, choose your seat, and the discount will automatically apply in your basket.
We're recruiting!
Are you 16–25 and want to make a real difference? Help us make Capital Theatres a more exciting, inclusive, welcoming, and relevant place for you.
Free Wifi and a comfy Cafe
If you need a study break or a little fuel to get you through the day, the Festival Theatre Café is the place to be. With free Wi-Fi, great coffee and plenty of scran the café is all the respite you need to get that essay over the line. Swing by before the show and enjoy a pre-show tipple or even an interval ice cream, as our bars and Festival Theatre Café are open for whatever you might want.
Try something new
Taking a night off? Or simply looking for a different way to experience the city? Add some variety to your week with affordable live performance at the Festival Theatre and Studio Theatre. Be spontaneous and try some world-class dance for the first time or expand your mind and sink your teeth into gripping drama. There’s something for everyone here.
