A cuppa and a chat!

This new initiative offers a more personalised approach to our programme while widening our artists’ network. We want to get to know you and your practice and put a name to a face, whether you’re new to Open for Creatives or familiar with it. 

Here’s what we can offer:

• A free 30-minute slot on a set day to sit down and have a cuppa (on us!) with Marion Geoffray, our Talent Development Coordinator
• The chance to discuss a specific topic or question
• An introduction to our services, and a chance for us to find out about your practice
• Advice, signposting, recommendations, and a sounding board for your ideas

Here’s what we can’t offer:

• This is not a pitching session!
• We won’t be discussing or giving feedback on current or past applications
• Capital Theatres is not a producing or commissioning house
• Capital Theatres doesn’t have a literary department and doesn’t review unsolicited scripts

Key date/time/place

The first event will take place on Tuesday 22nd September between 10.00 and 16.30 (6 slots available in total) at the Festival Theatre Café in Edinburgh or online for artists outside of Edinburgh or who cannot meet in person.  

Eligibility Criteria

• You must be an artist based in Scotland 
• You must not already be in receipt of our support through a scratch night, residency or other opportunities from our Open for Creatives programme. 

How to apply

Booking will go live on Friday 11th September at 10 am and operate on a first come first served basis. We will also have a waiting list in case a spot becomes available at the last minute.
