Heritage Talk: A Chorus Line
Capital Theatres’ Heritage Talks offer new ways to engage with what’s on stage. From the history of the shows to the themes explored and the role our theatres have played across time, these conversations are a wonderful way to compliment your visit.
This autumn, we are excited to host Professor Millie Taylor, the UK’s first professor in Musical Theatre to discuss the making of A Chorus Line.
Headline Speaker Biography: Dr Millie Taylor is Emeritus Professor at the University of Winchester and Van den Ende Chair of the Musical at the University of Amsterdam. She began her career as a freelance musical director and, for almost twenty years, performed shows such as West Side Story, Rocky Horror Show, Little Shop of Horrors and Sweeney Todd. She switched to research and lecturing in 2001 and has since written (or co-written) seven books and numerous articles. She was the first professor of musical theatre in the UK in 2012, and in 2020 became the first professor of the musical in the Netherlands.
