This workshop gives people a chance to learn how we preserve and protect our collection of King's Theatre heritage materials through training and hands-on cataloguing.
This September, we hosted 21 people including volunteers, heritage professionals, students, theatre attendees, and staff to learn how we document, preserve, and protect our collection as part of The King’s Theatre Archive. These workshops are designed to teach an overview of paper conservation and best preservation techniques, while offering the chance to be hands on in documenting archival materials.

Please get in touch for your own chance to be hands-on with the archive and learn how our volunteers and staff conduct research into historic characters and moments.
In the heritage world, it is so rare to have the opportunity to be so hands-on. Allowing the community to come in and get to touch these programmes gives them a real sense of ownership which will make them more invested in the history and care of the theatre.Workshop participant
