Capital Theatres is looking for a creative and energetic Heritage Engagement Coordinator to help bring the story of the King’s Theatre to life as we prepare to reopen from summer 2026.
About you and the role
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, you will coordinate and deliver an exciting heritage engagement programme that welcomes new and returning audiences, builds strong community relationships, and shares the rich history of the King’s Theatre in accessible and engaging ways.
Working closely with the Heritage Engagement Manager and Creative Engagement Team, you’ll design and deliver talks, tours, workshops, daytime events and co-created projects with local communities, using the heritage of the King’s Theatre to spark curiosity and creativity.
A key focus will be engaging people who may not traditionally feel the King’s Theatre is for them, including young people, families and local residents in the Tollcross area. You’ll also work with volunteers, freelancers and partner organisations to ensure activity is well planned, inclusive and impactful.
