Emma and Sam were blown away by this incredible show based on the best-selling book.

On a rainy day in Newcastle, Emma and Sam were transported to another world with this astounding production featuring incredible puppetry and visual effects.

The story begins in India, where a young boy called Pi embraces several religions at once, although society wants him to adopt only one. Indeed, the idea of religion and storytelling is central to the theme of the original novel, which Lolita Chakrabarti has brilliantly adapted for the stage.

Chakrabarti has beautifully expanded the Indian section of the story, with all of the vibrant sights and sounds of the country’s culture brought to life by the outstanding South Asian cast.

Pi's family own a zoo, and when they are tasked with transporting all the animals on a dangerous journey across the Pacific Ocean, the real adventure truly begins.

Fans of the book or the film will love this epic production which brings the story to life on stage. If you've never read the book, you are in for an unforgettable experience, and a story that is both magical and mysterious.

The incredible puppets have been created by the same artist from War Horse, and they truly feel alive.

Don't miss this unforgettable experience!
