Join us for our themed Heritage Coffee Mornings, an informal chance to handle original archival materials from the King’s Theatre, enjoy complimentary tea or coffee, and share personal memories and stories of Edinburgh’s rich cultural past.
No theatre history would be complete without Shakespeare. In this session, we explore over a century of Shakespearean productions at the King’s; how they’ve evolved and the remarkable performers they brought to our stage. Discover highlights such as John Gielgud directing a season in the 1950s and Laurence Olivier’s unforgettable performance as Othello. It’s a chance to reflect on how the Bard’s legacy continues to shine in Edinburgh.
