Scottish Opera: Rigoletto
Award-winning director Matthew Richardson (The Devil Inside) and Olivier Award-winning designer Jon Morrell revive their powerful production of Verdi’s masterpiece. Set in a dark and dangerous underworld where cruelty and inhumanity are rife, Rigoletto tells the tragic tale of seduction, revenge and a father’s suffocating love for his only daughter. Verdi’s score is packed with passion, colour and some of the best-loved music in opera, including the rousing ‘La donna è mobile’.
