Richard Alston Dance Company
Don't miss this last ever visit from Richard Alston Dance Company.
Over the past 50 years, Richard Alston has played a major role in the world of contemporary dance, developing a unique and distinct dance language and shaping the art form in this country. His internationally renowned Richard Alston Dance Company will officially close in 2020.
They bring to Edinburgh a newly revived The Signal of a Shake (not performed for almost two decades) inspired by Handel’s brilliant concertos for organ. They will also give the world premiere performances of Martin Lawrance’s newest creation and bring back last year’s popular Brahms Hungarian, featuring live solo pianist Jason Ridgway, where the dancers are carried along by fast steps and an abandoned fervour.
