Check-in Scotland Test and Protect
There will be QR codes in the foyer for you to scan and add your details using the Scottish Government’s Check-in system.
We have been 'See It Safely' approved
We have been granted the use of Society Of London Theatre & UK Theatre's 'See It Safely' mark. The mark certifies that we are complying with the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences.
The Festival Theatre Cafe has been 'We're Good to Go' approved
'We're Good To Go' certifies that we have confirmed that we have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, ensuring processes are in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social/physical distancing.
We regularly deep clean the theatres and have staff cleaning throughout the day with a focus on touch points.
Our staff will be wearing face coverings and we require all customers over the age of 5 years to wear an appropriate face covering unless you are exempt. Face coverings should be worn at all times in the theatre except when eating or drinking.
Hand sanitiser is available throughout the theatre. Please clean your hands thoroughly and often.
Moving around the theatres
When you arrive at the theatre your ticket will be checked and you should go to your seat as quickly as possible. There will be one-way systems in operation and customers will leave in groups at the end of each performance to avoid overcrowding. Staff will advise when each group can leave.
Maintain a safe distance
All customers must observe current physical distancing regulations
To cut down on unnecessary contact we would encourage you to buy your tickets in advance and use an e-ticket. On performance days the box office will be open for essential transactions.
Ticket Exchanges and Refunds
If you or anyone you live with or is in your support bubble displays symptoms associated with COVID 19, or if you are required to self-isolate following Government guidance, please do not visit Capital Theatres. Under these circumstances, please call our Box Office team to request an exchange or full refund up to 24 hours before the performance you are attending. If the performance you are planning to attend is within the next 24 hours, please call us to discuss your options with our Box Office team. Postage fees and donations are non-refundable.
For extra peace of mind we’ve teamed up with TicketPlan which protects you against cancellation resulting from accidents and unexpected illnesses. This optional extra costs £2 per ticket and is only available at the time of booking. Find more information here.

Cafes and Bars
The Festival Theatre Café will be open serving alcoholic and soft drinks, snacks and light meals. The Festival and King’s Theatre bars are currently closed.
If you have COVID 19 symptoms
If you are have COVID 19 symptoms prior to visiting the theatre or are isolating over the time which you would have been visiting please contact email@example.com to give us as much notice as possible.
If you develop COVID 19 symptoms after visiting the theatre please take a test and record the results in the NHS Scotland Test and Protect app.
